Those scams know almost nothing of your info other than your name and phone number, which were freely available for most people for years in a phone book. They rely on a few people falling for their scams to “willingly”hand over your worthwhile details…you see if your info was protected in the frist place even this forum wouldnt have these posted onto it
Scammers just stepped up a gear
Hi All, received an genuine looking email yesterday telling me my TV needed relicensing on 16th July. Knew this to be a scam as my TV doesn't need relicensing till later in the year & part of the the blurb was in French (Que!!). Not unusual in its self get loads of such garbage...www.mig-welding.co.uk
Scammers are busy today!
Heads up, Indian BT internet scammers are on the 'phones today. Had two so far from 0141 numbers. Unfortunately they dropped the call after I pressed "1" to give them a torrent of abuse. :Dwww.mig-welding.co.uk
Scam phone calls.........
We've all been plagued by scam calls, I'm sure  and hopefully recognise them for what they are. Over the last few weeks I've had a lot, mostly at meal times for some reason. I let incoming calls go to answerphone - it's usually a case of they hang up or occasionally a 'sales' message...www.mig-welding.co.uk
and theres many more posts of scammers
