Over head flxible grinder help

I can only suggest that perhaps you didn't do what you thought you were doing
I've confused myself in the past thinking that I could work everything out without writing it down.

1/ Try swooping the wires to brushes
2/ The brushes are connected to field coils the coils have to be reversed.
Remove wire from brushes and replace with wire from other end of coil the brush end should go to where you removed the other end of coil/winding
Still can't understand why it was wired that way
