Not mine but love the slammed trucks
Apparently it was originally just called the Daimler Dart, but Mopar in the US (the Daimler's target market) already had the name slated for the Dodge Dart. In the US it was sold as the SP250 in the UK both SP250 and Dart seemed to have been used.
I do, but too much to write here. Seriously, Google them, they are fascinating things. About a dozen were made back in the late 40's and used by GM as promotional vehicles showing how the future would look. One sold recently for $4.000.000!@RWD3M , that's an interesting truck, know anything about it, needs windows...
My mates dad had a yds7? with that MAXARET abs, wow, what happened to our industry??Those pics aren't Interceptors though, they have the extra shark gill (and longer wheelbase) that tells you they're the FF (Ferguson Formula) with the big V8, 4WD and antilock braking - rarer than rocking-horse droppings!

I used to work on a fleet of Hunters that had Maxarets! (yes, Hawker ones )My mates dad had a yds7? with that MAXARET abs, wow, what happened to our industry??
Hi Wallace
It was at a show in Greenhill park, Low Edges in Sheffield back in 2017, I'd guess there was around five or six hundred cars/lorries/steam hehicles, Even Horses/Donkeys and knights in armour whacking each other with gret swords/axes!!
Years ago my aunt had an Interceptor, 7.2 litres from memory, It had a load of carbs and a massive air filter box that covered most of the engine, My dad brought it back on the M1, He gave it full throttle for a few seconds and hit 150mph

I'm not normally a fan of big American stuff but there are a couple I'd really like to see. One is the Tucker 48 the other is the GM Futureliner.
Most Tuckers survive and there are a couple of Futureliners around too but I suspect a trip to the US would be needed to see either!

You are about 5 years to late as i let my ford engines go but maybe worth asking on retrorides in the wanted section, the guy who had min used to use a modern ford engine from something like a KA? and got it into a mk1 escort i think it was a valencia engine.seems most of the car guys are on here, anyone got a Ford 1600 crossflow engine sitting under the bench? I know they fetch a bit of money these days!
I think they may be prior to 2015 as the mustard Healey and aubergine FF belonged to Dave & Helen Newby, he is in one of the photos and Dave sadly passed away in 2015.
Your Aunties Interceptor may have been an SP if it had multiple carbs, they used the 440ci 6-Pack Chrysler engine from the Charger/Challenger R/T that used 3 twin choke carbs and a big oval air filter. If you can find any details or photos I can see if it has survived. If your Father had it up to that sort of speed you can see the fuel gauge dropping!
Nice one John, see if you can find any info on the car as there is a good chance someone has it and all those stories about the history are fantastic. A lot lost their Six Packs in favour of a 4bbl.
