what is difference between 3100 and 3600 is 3100 1/2 ton and 3600 3/4 ton ??

Mine is a step side.
I think the side mount spare was an option on the later 3100s which had a sort of dent in the rear wing (fender) to accommodate it. Not seen a side mount on a 3600, but it probably wouldn't need the dent as the bed is quite a bit longer.
Yes, longer wheelbase, much heavier axles on the 3600. IIRC, there's a 3800 which is the 1 ton version.

Well, I would say that it's on the right side (in both senses) on my 1928 Chevy four banger.I see they got the steering wheel on right this time.....

It's a really fun car to drive and to work on even. Everything is so easy and accessible compared to a modern car, what I can change the oil filter from ABOVE? I don't have to lift the car and remove a thousand fasteners to remove a plastic cover just to access the filer? I don't have to REMOVE THE FRONT or a tyre to change a bulb??? Insanity!
