My late Mother had an Alfasud that she enormously enjoyed driving, often in a quite spirited fashion.
Unfortunately, it was rusting badly, like they did, so my Father part exchanged it for a new Ital Estate.
First real use of it, Mother went off on at trip to see her Mother and do some shopping in the next town.
Hours late, she finally re-appeared, in a state of shock, white and shaking.
She had discovered the hard way that Marina/Ital handling was not as good as the 'Sud.
She decided that driving the Ital in any sort of cross wind was worse than forgetting to put the centre board down on a dinghy.
She upgraded to a Ford Escort and never let Father choose her car again.
