That massive lump of pig-iron in the middle will make sure it never does, either from raw power or weight distribution. Two things come to mind, first decent pothole and the forks would bend and how do you stop it wheelying?
That's in better nick than the one I had. First time my Mum got in it, her foot went through the passenger footwell, which some ingenious previous owner had replaced with cardboard.Saw this morris ital at a car show on saturday. owner is 91 and says it was a taxi that got retired early? only has 11k on the clock! 1.3 auto

An ex girlfriend asked me to sell her car when she packed in her nursing job to go backpacking in Asia for a year. It was an amiable split and she was a good mate's sister so I agreed. Then she told me it was an applejack green Metro with copious amounts of rust. I thought my work was cut out for me. I fixed the major issues and got an MOT on it, and hoped somebody without high expectations would buy it.That's in better nick than the one I had. Bromley Pageant was cancelled this year because of ULEZ, 2025 is planned to be out at Gatwick, personally I can't see it going well, people get into habits re shows and rallies and don't like change.Shame our local car show was cancelled a year or 2 ago. Pretty sure this was due to Ulez as the showground is just within the zone.
It had been run for about 35 years, by the Rotary Club of Uxbridge. It was suspended during Covid then I can only imagine that Ulez made them make the difficult decision to cancel it permanently.
PS. Thanks Mr Khan.

When vehicle papers change hands, since about five years ago, you get a new standard plate.Seems to have a recent reg? Thort it would have a department number at the end.
Guy over on the Il de Ré will give you a zero hour Mehari (usuially in a nicer colour..) for €25/30 K Though I could be out of date on the prices.
Nice to potter about in on a summers day. (Not this summers day however, in NI anyway )Mehari, fully reconditioned, or new, 563 Kms on the clock.View attachment 459603
That brings back memories! We spent a week on the Il de Rê in 1967. My dad was upset to see another car on the island with GB plates and when my mum agreed to buy a chicken and some runner beans off a local farmer who visited the campsite, he returned with a wicker basket full of beans and the chicken happily sat on top of them. Apparently it's changed a lot since then and doesn't sound like anywhere I'd want to go anymore sadly.Seems to have a recent reg? Thort it would have a department number at the end.
