Yeah it's even more galling when you realise you've spent £300 on parts that didn't need changing. Once you're this far in you just gotta keep going.

Funny thing is, these £5 seals are out of stock everywhere. None of the parts places have them, I found one place who had only two which I ordered on Wednesday. When they didn't turn up I called up local dealerships who didn't even have the part number listed and when I gave them the number they were also out of stock. Nearest place that showed stock was Canterbury and they only had the one, but close at midday on Saturday.

There's the obvious opportunists on eBay listing them for £26 etc but hell will freeze over before I pay a 500% mark-up.

The last engine I dealt with low oil pressure when warmed up was a 3.0 Iveco Daily. Spent hours on it trying various things, but ended up with a complete new engine, and it had only done 90k IIRC, but did have a lot of onboard equipment so it would have been worked pretty hard.

I happened to inspect one a couple weeks ago and noticed the same problem, but as the driver hadn't complained, and it'll likely need a new engine to cure it, it can run until it goes bang.

In the end sussed with an IR thermometer.

Yep, the manifold soon warms up quick. I tend to switch to Fahrenheit as the temperature difference seems to be more obvious.
