I've just ordered a Banggood one which should be here in a few days. There's a new Yuasa battery fitted [and registered to the car] under their excellent 5-year warranty, after the old one failed with a few months to go.
I've been humphing an old jump starter/tyre pump/torch type around in the boot for years but it's now at the stage where it won't hold charge for any time, so I though the USB outputs for phone/tablet etc would be handy to have too. Also, if anyone needs a jump start, it'll save using the leads I also carry 'just in case' but are a bit short for practical purposes.
Device arrived today, fully charged. Seems robust with some 'heft' to it and well built, and I've only been able to confirm that the torch works in all three modes. Just need to track down someone in need of help starting now....
Cables and croc clips seem good and strong, should get a chance to test hand-held charging on the tablet and phone over the weekend. Worth £43[ish]? Aye, probably - it'll save me humphing around the old 'pack' which is on its last legs anyway.

That's quite a decent delivery time.
When you mentioned getting it on BangGood, I assumed it would be one of those things you'd nigh on forget about, until a "surprise" arrived a few weeks later on.
Or even longer, so that you'd actually given up hope just before forgetting about it!
Hope you find someone with a flat battery to try it on soon, anyway!

Used the charger today to charge my tablet, worked fine. Took about 1.5 hours to get it from 33% to 75% but had to go out so don't know when it reached 100%.
The charger's currently charging off the mains so it looks to be functioning as claimed.

You mean the unit? Yes, it comes with 2 x USB leads - one with mini USB, and the other with a micro (?) USB.
To charge the unit I just used the mains one for my tablet. It's all laid out with pics of what you get in the ad I linked to.

They are what they are I think. Mine lives on a usb socket I put in the glovebox for it. It’s never disappointed as such but it’s not used loads. When I were south looking after arb kit for a guy, amongst other stuff I was doing, his small plant would eat batteries and id forever have the jump pack out. That was my old snap on one before it died. Too heavy to cart about just in case though. A lot of the issue with this batteries was him anyway mind. This little pack I have now would be great for chipper etc

@slim_boy_fat yours looks like mines bigger brother.
you may have to file the stupid on switch right down. Otherwise it’s easy for it to get knocked on in glovebox etc.

It's certainly a hefty bit of kit, James. Too big to fit in the glovebox really, so it'll live in the boot in its own 'hard' case.

As I've said, it's a hefty bit of kit. The case measures roughly 9.5 X 6.5 X 4 inches and might fit in the e60 glovebox if I turfed the current contents out, but that's not going to happen - what with it all being essential stuff an' all!
If you're looking for something you can slip in your pocket, this is not for you.

@slim_boy_fat I think I might have to order one of those jump starters. Seem a good deal, Will order it & pay PayPal with my Credit Card. As I have used Banggood previously, But not for electronic goods
All you have to do is parallel another battery which will bring the voltage up enough and the modern chargers work fine. You can then remove the shunt battery once after a period of time.
Many of them have a supply option which also works.
As emergency for the wife whens she's on her own theirs nothing handy about that.

Because seems your not entitled to an opinion without somebody telling you that your wrong. Everybody can have an opinion without attacking Everybody else's. In my last 5 posts I have 9 likes so they mustn't be that negative. As to the post above, the last discussion with armalites was he told me I was doing my job wrong all my life and I'd mickey mouse kits and I was wrong.
I think I've the right to defend myself until doubleboost came on and said my way was fine.
And as your post above im having to defend myself again.

Yes I do use a charger to get a flat battery going.
I bought a jump starter and it was rubbish, it wouldn't work, so I put a charger on for 10 mins and she started no problem. It was a problem I was trying to solve of battery drain.
So when I'm away I bought a small charger incase my wife got stuck coz it would be easier handled. As I said its rubbish to, its not practical for my wife so its back to the old heavy charger which works every time no messing about.

As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts I haven't been impressed with the Noco lower models. I don't have any experience of the higher models so can't comment.
