My iPhone xs max, is giving me problems r'e uploading to the forum, Says the file is too large, Cant find any way to alter this on the phone, What are my options please.

Hi Gordon, if you use the attach files button, when you select photo library and pick a photo it should say “show selected” on the bottom. Touch this and it then gives you the option to use different sizes for the photo - original, large, med or small

as for living room storage....
I used to belong to a small group...
1 has at least 6 Comando's in his and another 14 around inside the house
2 has a Manx Norton 500 and couple of other racer's
3 has Duo-Glide and a Knuckle head....
Me, been told if my Indian's turn up at the front door she wont bake anymore cake......yikes......but there was NO no in the conversation....

I feel people quickly lose interest in my long winded - this is what I did and this is how I did it threads.
It's a fast moving world these days and I often fall off

Whats everyone's fastest way of getting photos from phone to forum , My way seems to be quite a drag so would be interested how others do it.

I transfer the photos to the desktop, that way I can use Photoshop to change the image size to make the file more 'user friendly' and faster to upload - I can also correct the levels if necessary, to fix high contrast images.

See, that's the problem: I was having a go at open root the other day having done some pad work to get some confidence:

Then I prepped up a couple of bits of 12mm bar, flapped the rust and paint off and bevelled the edges as best I could with the angle grinder to give 2.5mm land and then tacked it up to give 2.5mm face. It looked beautiful:

And then I set about welding it up.

But I knew you guys would be watching, coz you like pics, and that made me self conscious and disturbed my confidence.

So that's why people don't always add pics, innit?

Also, I'm up in the mountains on mobile internet, so it can be quite tedious uploading pics.

If its not a photo off my gallery I just drag and drop an image, it always works for me and I am the blunt chisel

I could never see the point of phones with cameras on, video capability, phone data, internet, and all the paraphernalia they come with, so I used to carry a normal phone, a digital camera and an ipad everywhere I travelled. And I had to find wifi zones or internet cafes if I needed to access internet while travelling, to log my ipad onto. Then when I got home I had to download all the pics onto my PC, for later access.

Then I moved into the 20th century and bought a gadget the size of a pack of fags that does everything in one hit: iPhone.

ive noticed a lot of folk make things and comment on stuff but never show any pictures. in this day and age everyone and his dog has a camera phone and can upload them to the forum . it makes the posts a lot more interesting . coments welcome

The number of people that seem to leave XYZ on the car roof overnight or ...then drove off and lost or smashed said XYZ , how, HOW, how do they do it?
Nothing goes on my car roof except water, polish and sealer.

People just do. I’m regularly telling wife not to do it.

When I were a kid, dads mate did it with a shotgun. Never found it.

Year or so later same bloke did it with a spaniel hooked to truck. That ended badly. He was really old and losing the plot I think. Died shortly after that.

I never put stuff on roofs of trucks for that reason. Also although my trucks are always work trucks I do try to look after them and minimise scratches etc
