yea if you want to see me rotavating my back field and getting rid of crap apart from going to work i havent done owt i got a nice home made small steam stationary engine given as a present il take some pictures of it when i get chance

Wet paper towel to dissolve it as soon as noticed then washed off with minimal effort, it is easier if the paint is well looked after in the first place.

On my ancient ipad it says the uploaded filedoes not have an allowed extension...mmmmm when I try to attatch a file.

If i click the picture icon its invalid file type.

I cannot believe how clean and tidy all your workshops are. Mine always looks like it's just been broken in to.

I tell my kids its my last line of defence if I'm burgled they will never find any thing and if they do they will never get it as far as the door without damaging themselves.

The number of people that seem to leave XYZ on the car roof overnight or ...then drove off and lost or smashed said XYZ , how, HOW, how do they do it?
Nothing goes on my car roof except water, polish and sealer.

That's all very well, but if you have a project car sitting outside between the house and the workshop, a demanding 5 yr old as well... recipe for a disaster.

a few images of things I''vet been doing recently. The side panel is a one (two) off converted Yamaha xj maxim, the clocks are old noisy diffficult to read Yamaha vmax and it's Virago replacement, and the blue tanked bike is a project Yamaha 650 Seca boughton a pallet minus loads of bits -runs sweet, but will need a complete stripdown and rebuild once I've ridden it.
Welding interest - the side panels were made by shaping the main bits then welding the returns on, the crankcase cover on the Seca had a crack in it, I veed it out and tig welded it back before filing and rubbing it down to paint it. I could have bought a used one on eBay, but why?

Yes they do, this is the second. First was completely destroyed after a year

I transfer the photos to the desktop, that way I can use Photoshop to change the image size to make the file more 'user friendly' and faster to upload - I can also correct the levels if necessary, to fix high contrast images.

A thread going on now, well documented and explained with clear sharp pictures.
Takes a bit of time to write post up and load. So if I missed it, it might not be my thing but cheers to all who keep forums going.
