Hope you didn't 'shoogle' it too much, you don't want it frothing/exploding when you open it.

Check out this panel gap...i
Cheers Crispy...1988 Supra....now thats definitely my kind of car. Dunno if you had a look at my mr2 mk2 project on here....that was the first project that I did and also the one where I learned how to weld. Have owned that mr2 since around 1996 I think....geez I'm getting old!
but that wire wheel sure did eat the batteries.
Hi Crispy...i'll have to look up the supra arches....the problem i had with the mr2 sill was no repair panels available....although i think some are now.
Nope nothing exact fitment, closest is mk3 fiesta 3door 89-99
Well he was here today....and just like Christmas day it felt like it was all over in 10 minutes. He's retired but has so much knowledge it's unbelievable...I must say I was very nervous about the work I've done so far and what he would think! Turns out he thought the welding and the panel fit were excellent....I was so happy. He also said I should probably have a go at Tig welding as I might have the patience for it...so now I'm looking for a Tig machine to give it a go. Have done the reading a while ago.....ideally I'd love a setup that does it all....but I will probably just start small with a DC setup and see if I enjoy it before spending big money.
Geez I really dislike drilling welds....pretty much blunted every drill I had.
BeautifulBit more of the sill done...geez that's alot of welding! Looks great in the pics...however the weld did pull the face of sill in by 3mm or so along the weld line about the half way point. I will do my very best to ignore it as the door gap looks very nice....I'm thinking a bit of filler...but I know what I'm like. To be honest it really doesn't matter as there is a chrome cover going over the top anyway...but I'll know!
Next job is to fit the sill end cover and do the plug welds along the lower flange.
This was done with successively closer tacks until the tacks were about 20mm apart...then successive 20mm welds. It took a long time as had to keep letting it cool down!
