Pulse is only really useful if you are specialised welding and for home use I doubt it would be of any benefit.
For specialised work it is sometimes useful, we have pulse MMA machines but it is rarely used in the shop or on site.
I use pulse MMA for home use since I own the Fronius and I find it very beneficial on thin sheet steel and thin walled stainless.
Also for the root pass in open root on thicker stuff its a big help.
That's probably because I'm just a hobby welder and not a professional. So maybe pulse MMA is more beneficial to the hobby welder then to the industry?
