Recommendations for safety glasses

I used to use unexpected marks but I now need something that will also prevent chips hitting my face. So I am looking for recommendations for a mask I can wear whilst using the lathe the mill and pedestal drill.

I seem to remember @doubleboost using a decent grinding helmet but also I thought he had a decent mask.
I find masks not good fitting most of the time..

Any suggestions??

It's only that one stray chip or extra long swarf I a concerned about.
It's not that I am standing in a shower of red hot molten steel. Lol

I am doing a lot of drilling especially and as I wear glasses I need something decent to go over them.

I have seen several times that a person has picked up an eye injury from grinding dust settled on top of goggles, and they have tipped about half a teaspoon of it in their eye when removing the goggles. Something to think about especially if you wear those big old cheapy ones.

I wear uvex ultravision goggles, for which I have bought the face shield which clips on to the bottom of them. I really like them, really comfortable, don't steam up (and I am a sweaty person normally) and not too expensive. You can buy replacement lenses for them too, so you don't have to buy new goggles every time they get a bit manky.

I don't wear glasses though, so couldn't comment on their compatibility, although as the have a soft foam seal, they could work.

Can't fit a reusable mask under the shield though (or not the ones I own anyway - trend stealth and JSP something-or-other)

I use the dewalt consealer safty gogs. They have been good. But they will fog up if you have a face mask on.

3M Bionic full face visor.

I had cause to "test" mine the other day when the grinder whipped the work piece (I was holding in mole grips in my left hand) straight into the visor at throat level.

TF for the visor I thought. If I'd have been wearing ordinary goggles.....

That's my I inclination but wanted advice of items worn by other that are safe, cost effective and comfy.

Tbh the 3M 3M Bionic is so clear you forget you're wearing it. Comfy too.

I got one after a few near misses on the woodist lathe .
Now have a few dotted around the garage and shed , and wear them - and you can still use a safety squint with it on !

As them face shields were good I now use a trend air shield for any of that grinding/sanding malarkey . Bit spendy but no need for a dust mask - which I never really bothered with before .

Many years ago, 2003/4 I was issued an Esab 'albatross' air fed welding screen, the advantage for me was these were/are passive, IE, you had to cover your face as you struck the arc, as per old school screens: under the welding mask was/is a clear visor that allows you to grind without having to wear any other type of eye protection: all built into one unit:
Just as a matter of interest, I loathe and despise auto-darkening welding screens, too dark to allow you to position the torch/electrode in restricted and light deminished work zones, but that's me bleating

For the OP, I would buy bolle trackers, they're slimline enough to wear as safety glasses but wear like goggles and have almost the same effect.

I really like the bolle trackers as they are properly sealed without wearing goggles but they don't half make you sweat
