Thanks. There's been isolated areas of corrosion. The sills are great but so far replaced 3 of the four outriggers, couple of other areas of the chassis rails and will check out the fourth outrigger when I replace the OS rear foot wel. It's amazing what can be hidden under underseal and filler as the old girl looked pretty good when I bought her.I just wish I was faster fixing her but I'll keep plodding away when I can.

Got some time this afternoon working on the Amazon, did a small pita repair and started fitting the cowl.

Nice job, although I think you could have made that panel
I have the same issue with my MGB, panels are cheap so why make them and maybe they might not come out so good as tooled parts, but I would say it's a lot more challenginging and it's more about metalshaping than restoration.

Thanks. Would like to be making more panels but my idea with the Amazon was to restore it and get back onto my big project which is my P1800. I’ll be doing plenty of metal shaping with the P1800. Hopefully spend more time in the workshop this year.

Got the inner wing in position and started welding it in. First off I located the shotgun where it should be as factory but it was too low when I trial fitted everything so had to cut the tacs off and lift the shotgun up at the rear. Decided last night that I will weld the seems so it won't look like factory but will be a better joint. There is rust under and above the inner wing that runs along the shotgun join so the plan is to make a new section and weld it in, making it will be the easy bit but welding might be interesting.

Started doing the inner wing repair along the shotgun, will do it in 3 sections is the plan. Found it quite awkward to tig due to the position, also a couple.of hammer marks so a little annoyed but reasonably happy how it's going so far. Will finish it all off as beat I can once the other two repair sections are in.

My mate who's an engineer in the car manufacturing industry over here called it that so I've just assumed that's what it's called. Looks a bit like a shotgun.
