They are keeping them by the looks of it.

580’s we’re a good machine, I had the extended boom version which was really handy for dredging/desilting lakes. Bit of a faf for the uninitiated with the pedal and lever confirmation.

They're the kind of old things you find rotting away and next time you see them the farmer has come along, just threw a battery in and giving them a workout.
He (hypothetically) bought them for just above scrap price at a machinery auction 20 years ago.
