Hehe, that'd have been a walk way too adventurous for the dogs! We had a great week in the cottage we rented for the week; the weather was great and we did some great walks from the door - the boys were shattered!

There lots of corrosion on parts that look like aluminium.

Some corrodes quite badly. Particularly German stuff which seems to have a high magnesium content

I didn't notice them until I was up on the wall looking down on them, so didn't get close enough for a closer look.

The cranes in Pula count as rusted relics I think. Have you seen them at night yet?

Have asked around and the verdict is it’s most probably Pratt and Whitney reduction gear, likely ex c47 or b24
