Most of our reservoirs are 100 plus yrs old, with kit like that still working on them. What I find annoying sometimes is "engineers" deciding that by doing away with that kind of stuff and fitting new (cheap chinese imprts) is an improvement - these sometimes don't even survive their warranty period....The one in my picture controls a valve or sluce gate or something similar at an old waterworks in easy London.

The other is an end emptying door off a small hopper rail wagon
I can’t see that size steel tolerating that size of concrete.Old school handles or lifting eyes for a chamber lid or biscuit that covers a chamber
Your correct these are on RAF attlebridge norfolk. A wartime heavy bomber base.There's similar on Great Waldingfield aerodrome, I've always assumed they were tie downs for planes.
