Does this look like the pedal that I’m going to be missing. It seems to be correct but would appreciate feedback to make sure.
Not sure what you mean really but the plug that comes with the torch can be rewired to a pedal. On the subject of foot pedals, what do I need to get to make the cable or two cables should I say, less bodgey!?
Do you need the two cables though? Surely if you intend to use the pedal you do not need the wring to the torch switch? I suppose it would allow the use of either/or but if only ever intending to use a pedal then you could just use the one cable. They have basically bodged two cables in to the one connector!

Usually there is a switch in the pedal, does the Sherman one not have one?Yes you need a switch to tell it to initiate the arc. Pedal can be in any position you like but until it gets the command to turn on it won't do a thing. Obviously the potentiometer in the pedal tells the machine how many amps you want.
Yes - a microswitch is activated as the pedal is pushed - as shipped from Weldes.de (and very possibly direct from Sherman), the microswitch is on the 2core (wired to the torch switch pins), and the pot(s) is/are on the separate 3 core cable (wired to the other 3 pins).Usually there is a switch in the pedal, does the Sherman one not have one?
Thanks for that, must have missed it when you posted!Yes - a microswitch is activated as the pedal is pushed - as shipped from Weldes.de (and very possibly direct from Sherman), the microswitch is on the 2core (wired to the torch switch pins), and the pot(s) is/are on the separate 3 core cable (wired to the other 3 pins).
For the other poster, JohnnyM, considering the pedal rewire, linky back to my supplies post: https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/sherman-tig-jasic-in-disguise.93719/page-13#post-1574275
If you take the bottom off the pedal (6 screws, I think), all becomes clear
(If you don't have a pedal but considering doing one, I can take a photo of mine tomorrow)
