Sherman Tig (Jasic in disguise?)

Today I took my sherman at work to test it out as i run out of gas at home.
After about 6 hours of messing about with it i can honestly say that you can't go wrong buying this piece of kit.
I had to weld 72 caps today and pulse made my life so much easier.

Nice work pulse was a bonus for me when I upgraded from my older ESAB set - easy neat welds for caps like yours, and less distortion for stainless box section joints. It just makes life easier like you say.

It used to only give these on mobiles and computer used to be ok. Which is what I'm going to try next.

Unless @www_weldes_de can sort something out on the inside for us??

Thanks mate, it was such a big change coming from a very basic tig welder to this. We only work with stainless you would think my company would use pulsed welders for this as you said to to minimise distrotion but nah... ( I'm trying to persuade them to upgrade our gear ) they didn't even use gas lenses before I started there...

I got the tracking order today too after also sending them an email the other day.

I already have the dinse adapter and 5-way plugs. I need to source some pure argon though as I've only got the argon mix for the Mig. I'll get a new torch too. I did have a look on Zoro earlier today and spotted the Kennedy torches.

I’ve looked at the tracking a few times - the updates so far tell me all sorts of details like how it’s been scanned, how they’ve printed off the label, the labels been stuck on the box, etc, but nothing about it actually being put in a van or being driven anywhere! The carrier is GLS apparently - unsurprisingly I’ve never heard of them.

Just occurred to me the other day, I wonder how difficult or expensive it’s going to be to buy a welder from Poland after the end of this year due to the unmentionable B word.

Mines arrived via GLS (owned by Parcel Farce). 6 days to the uk and then another 6 days for Parcel Farce to lose it and then deliver it like they've done me a favour...

Mine arrived this morning via GLS / Parcel Force. The box appears to look in good condition but I haven't opened it yet. I'll be doing that shortly!

Got a 2 stage regulator delivered this am from TBWS (recommended on another thread here and surprisingly cheap). Shortly after Parcelforce dropped off the welder from Greyeagle. Had a bit of a job explaining it to the other half, but I’m still alive, at least for now.
I think I’ll have to knock up some sort of base for it to sit on top of the mig - there’s room for another gas bottle on the back. Unfortunately I’ve got a load of window casements to make so playtime is suspended until I get those out of the way.
Unfortunately no foot pedal, which I was sort of expecting along with the torch and leads, but maybe I can get one from weldes.de.

Ironically my Sherman with be sitting on top of a Portamig too!

I looked on the TBWS site and the regulators are for vertical outlet bottles. Can you successfully use this regulator on a side mounted bottle? I see you have done that in the photo.

Only difference it makes is that the gauges are 90 degrees out from normal reading view

One other difference it can make is that if you have a flow meter attached then you will have to rotate the gauges so they are facing upwards, this is so that you can then fit the flow meter in the vertical plane.
