Get some abs rod and tig weld it.I tightened the screws to tight
The Sealey TIG200HFACDCF foot pedal works nicely with the Sherman. This style foot pedal is the same as most that retail for £200, but can be had for around £90 (Amazon had this for £70, but it's gone back up near £100). I just replaced the connector with the XS12 5 pin connector and now I just use a plain CK torch.
I would think that taking the cover off the pedal would tell you. Two wires will go to the microswitch, and the other three to the potentiometer (one at each end and one to the wiper). That’s what the Sherman pedal has, although it’s slightly muddled in the Sherman because it has an extra pot on the side).Does anyone know which wire is which in the Sealey pedal? Is there any easy way to tell using a multimeter?
Yes, 5 and 3 don’t matter. If 1 and 2 are swopped the pedal might work backwards I think (or may not even work at all), though that could depend on the circuit layout inside the welder. Maybe someone else can confirm this is the case..?View attachment 250049
So black and red go to pins 5 and 3 It wont matter which way I presume.
The wiper which is the mauve wire goes to pin four.
Does it matter which way the pot min and max wires go round to 1 and 2?
Can't confirm what will happen but you won't damage anything.Maybe someone else can confirm this is the case..?
Yes, that would be the result. If pins 1 and 2 are connected the wrong way round to the "low and "high" ends of the pot, the foot pedal will work backwards, so that maximum current would be with the pedal released and the current would decrease to minimum as you push the pedal down. ( That would be an amusing fault to build in to a drive-by-wire car accelerator pedal... ) The "wrong" connection will not hurt anything - apart from burning out your tungsten - so if the correct wiring isn't known, just try it either way.Yes, 5 and 3 don’t matter. I asked tecweld for a new front panel today. I received the answer that they had none
@www_weldes_de Not good !
If someone need 5-PIN plugs or sockets to 206P AC/DC, we just add it to shop.
So it is basically the same internals ?I put the sherman display in the Weldinger
