Do you guys think that back piece is definitely a mod? It doesn’t look like an actual repair since there is nothing broken, and looking at the slide, there is no indication of any hammer marks anywhere else.
The picture in the 1935 B&H catalogue only shows a regular No.25, but I figure maybe they went a little extra for the biggest model? (The biggest in that series)
What you want is a Woden floor vice. Have at it like the guy in the silhouette with his heavy hammer. I seem to recall they made another model which had an anvil and cast wheels on the end.
