Aparently boiled linseed oil contains driers to speed up film drying and hardness, without this it can take a week to dry.Winchboy picked this up today looks Victorian?
Any ideas?
When people paint them with Boiled Linseed oil I assume thats different to just Linseed oil?

Good luck to winchboy. I like my current collection too much to sell any, but I might buy one just for selling, although I find that quite difficultJust ben given big bottle of Raw Linseed oil that why I asked, it was free with some meths and Acetone
Winchboy is buying vices to sell at a Local Autojumble so he wants to oil them as its easier than paint
ThanksAs mentioned, it's basically some slight processing and the addition of driers. I always use raw personally, slightly diluted with gum turpentine, though any spirit/solvent would do. Apply, leave from a few hours to a day, wipe excess off & then let it harden.
He has already been bitten by the bug and kept a Record 75!Good luck to winchboy. I like my current collection too much to sell any, but I might buy one just for selling, although I find that quite difficult
I really struggled to lever it into the back of the car. The mug isn't from a doll's house......
