Just checked my collection of back catalogs and I can confirm they were all originally in black and white.

Never seen a green one that hasn't obviously been repainted, As far as I know they are always blue,......... apart from the red ones

Apart from 3 models most record vices are blue. The exact shade of blue seemed to vary, probably depending on what batch of paint they were using. Roundel/aircraft blue is often suggested as the correct colour but I've tried that & it is a mile out colour wise, too bright & gaudy!
I have a record no 4 that has been in the family from new & never painted. I got a paint shop to colour match paint to the unfaded paint under the slide & I use that for all my record vices but it rarely matches the existing paint on any vice. It is a mercedes colour, mittelmeer blau, with a few tints added.
The green ones could have been supplied to the military as a special order, can you see the crows foot anywhere?
Parkinsons were usually painted a burgundy red, I think the wodens were blue.

No idea but if you are interested in selling it, I am interested in buying! I'm putting together a woodworking section currently but really it's because you can never have enough vices
and that type looks odd enough to be interesting.
