All these members with something I want.
No not the vices.
THE CLEAN.
The space, but the clean.
Were can I get the clean from.
Wife spotted this on ebay while looking on a "see other items" list. Misspelled as Swinders, it doesn't show up when you type in Swindens vice.
Again, nothing to do with me, but thought I'd give anyone interested here a heads up. Item # 124308496984
Man, that's ugly. The jaws look to be in good condition though. ……………………...
First post here so hello everyone, started welding a while back when my car needed new jacking points and haven’t stopped since. Been picking up bits and bobs and my latest project was this little Paramo No 2 picked up for a tenner at a car boot. Waiting for steel to make the jaws but as you can see from the photos it had a bit of abuse in its former life, this is after a quick clean up and where I’m at now with it.
I’ll be using this one myself and it won’t get lots of abuse so as long as the weld holds fairly strongly it will be fine for me. I also have a Record No 6 which I am getting ready for paint but it’s too big for my use so I’ll move that on when it’s all done.
As it sits now
Unfortunately I know very little about it, it was in a batch of vices I bought along with some other wood vices. I have a Parkinson in that machined way style and a Record.Wabbit, that Premier wood work vice looks very interesting - looks Parky-type quick release but machined way not rods, which would tend to put it about 1900 any idea where/by whom it was made?
