There's a picture of a swindens in the 1930 B&H catalogue with the details cast in the front and also interestingly it has no anvil ....
Very snazzy. Might we ask what you paid? There was one kept getting re-listed on eBay fro £200 a few months back.A new toy just acquired - a Sevo vice with adjustable jaws. Very handy for drilling odd-shaped things.

Bens uses a cam, you can see in the bottom right hand corner of the picture the part you turn to lock the rotating small jaws.
