They are useful vices, though I would advise not over tightening with a hammer or cheater bar as the spindle will fracture where the spring retaining pin is positioned. That said I've a 74 on my outdoors bench and a 75 on my main bench, Wouldn't swap either.I just bought this vice on ebay should be here next week

Does anyone know the production years for these when they stopped? Curious how old it could be or if there is any definite way to date it when it gets here next week
I will likely restore it and use the record blue paint and pick out the letters with gold.
Yep, that part of the jaw shelf is missing. Happens from hammering down on the jaws when screws are loose.
