This vice is brilliant worked with one a few months back my old Vice has this wobble on the jaws so when you lightly snug up the vice it has a tendency to shift and the item being lightly clamped can fall out due to play in the system, but this Gressel is solid when you lightly snug up the item it won't shift or move especially clamping something with an odd shape

another old catalogue:
never seen the Premier Instantaneous - obv a variation on a Parkinson design and I have a quite diff Premier vice, not patent. Again, never seen the Free-Slide - that's a different design, guessing made by the same manufacturer, prob UK.
The two top vices on first shot look like Parkinson's, but the woodwork vice has slightly diff sizes and this was when others (Record, Woden) started to copy - I have a 7in of this type, no name but v fine casting.
The spring-loaded vice clamps in brass or beech (up to 5ins) look useful --- there's a project for anyone.
Anyone know more? - the catalogue is yet another London retailer - there's a price increase insert dated 1915, so let me guess 1910.
