Interesting. It kind of makes sense, as the Columbian brand never seemed to have produced any of the earlier tall jaw vices which Will-Burt phased out, so the only real difference appears to be the label.

It would be nice to acquire an original devise, but it will probably become another project on my rainy day list when I get hold of some appropriate bar stock. I suppose finding one now-a-days would be like finding a polar bear in the desert, but hey ho you never know.
Learnt how to repair guitars as I couldn't afford a decent one myself. Found a Gibson L1 which I put back together leaning as I went. However, I did a few repairs to people instruments which meant my own playing took a back seat. Now I've the time to play I have developed trigger finger and possibly rheumatism in my left had so I'm not able to.
I use to play until arthritis in my hands pretty much ended it. Still have a few guitars, amps, and a couple of bass along with a case full of analogue effects; unfortunately wasting away in storage.

ive got arthritis in my left wrist from cricket, no way could i play a bar chord
I've considered the same as I'm not getting any younger. I'll never see 70 again, and in reality, most of the Vises/vices need to go also; I've acquired way to many over the years.
