All my old clothes, books, 26 rims, 28 tyres, a 205 Gti shell, rollcage, 2 sets of doors, bonnet, tailgate, 3 sets of suspension struts, one engine, 2 gearboxes, tools, welder etc.
It looks worse than it is, because everything is in strategic piles that allow me access to work on the shell whilst being able to pull out individual bits I need to work on on those rare occassions when it isn't raining.
BTW under the blue tarp on the right is another rallycar shell but that is due to go soon and donate the axle to the other - then I can finally move it and tidy
My workshop, bit of a heap right now . Had to take the pc tower (thats what the tft is for) out of there to try and fix it but it's still sat in here doing nout. Used to be great for storing and working on my bikes in there but now due to the amount of tools/parts etc in there I usually just work outside unless it's a big job
Used the panorama mode on my phone for like the first time today -
Yeh I think it was something along that lines in it's past life, there's 20 bits just over 8ft long, 16 of the T pieces at the front and about 20 odd lengths that are 3-4ft. Paid £30 for the lot, is that a decent price?
The plates on the doors are random ones, 1 or 2 I found at the roadside, others are from dealers that I have mates at (same as the large castrol sign outside! ). When they take in a vehicle they take off and bin the plates to swap for their own "branded" ones
I have a road narrows triangular sign that I found in my garden when I moved in and an original French 1930's Texaco enamel sign to put up. I love garagenalia! I have my grandads 1948 vintage paint sprayer, it's like a small vacuum cleaner with a spray gun attached. Never used it in anger, he used to use it to paint his wooden ladders for his window cleaning company.
Very envious of peoples workshops, i ould love the space but at the moment all i have is a big space where a garage used to be off my drive, round the back of the house.
i also have a 8x6 sturdy shed where everything is stored. just had to reroof the bugger as the wind tore it all down.
I take my hat off to you chaps who do your work on the drive-way/back-yard/kerbside. especially when you have to battle the elements to get the metal treated before the rain gets to it.
I am rebuilding my brake calipers at the moment - using the hall table at home - much to annoyance of other half.
Well, the skipfull of rubbish was collected today, so my garage is a little emptier. Just got to measure up for a workbench and get the wood next weekend. Then install some shelves and fit a vice and all the other nice things a workshop needs....
THEN, I swear I will take some pictures.
P.S. Does anyone else on here have a garage full of spiders? I do, and i don't mind admitting that i'm scared of them. I trod on a big one the other day and it was like crushing a grape. I felt really bad.
