36 tool holders is it CNC. ?Is that the 250-200 series Rory?
Had one on my ole Harrison 140 and two on M300, there is movement and not entirely repeatable.
Had Dickson on M300 but didn't like the cost of the tool holders when needing in excess of 20 and still need 16 more.
Could do with quick release lever on top like this on to T slot, undo slide lot out and replace with another tool post no spanners.
Piston type wont handle this 5 1/4" dia x 1/2" face off cut about 15 year ago.

This is my lathe as found, havn`t got it home yet as I am saving up for the transport, It`s 400 miles away and weighs 3 tons!!!
It has issues, but nothing 2-3 years work won`t cure-I hope???- can`t wait
Holbrook H=15. 15" swing/36" between centres.
That's a helluva machine but it probably has about a 10hp motor in it. It's gonna make your meter spin

It started it`s life in a power station by all accounts, I am the third owner. Careful of course lol.
When I eventually get it home, a good clean and asses the issues and take it from there.
If anybody has a fixed steady for a H15 I would be most interested in them getting in touch with me.
Now I must go and make more room in the garage!

Whenever I see photo's of lathes on forums they are always spotlessly clean, which suggests to me that they don't get used,
or they simply don't work. Not a bit of swarf in sight, not a sign of an oil splash trail up the wall in line with the chuck.
If you wish to add authenticity to your photo's, that would I might add double or treble the value of your machine, I could at
a price, supply spray cans of oil and bags of swarf to sprinkle in the suds tray.
Should this result it a sale of the machine then a commission of a mere 10% would be payable.

Just manual, cnc useless to or spend 95% time setting up and programming.
Do have a cnc lathe bought 6 years ago, never used it.

1950s Smart and Brown model "M" screwcutting collet lathe.
Currently 250 miles away from where i live, installed im my ex-neighbors workshop.
(when our garage is sorted, ill move it down here)
Purchased for £181 (ebay) with a load of other bits that did not even fit the lathe. I put all the bits that did not fit (ie were for other machines) back on ebay. They sold for £180... : )

Here's my Myford ML7 which I inherited from my Dad a couple of years ago. It's a 1951 model and performs as good as the day it left the factory.
I'm ashamed to say that I've only used it for a few basic jobs, but it's invaluable when needed.
There's a great selection of tooling with it as well. (Dad was a tool maker / precision engineer entering into an apprenticeship at 15 and retiring at 65. He still caried on making various items until he was 80)

Nope. Its been in my ex-neighbours workshop since we re-located.
Its taking longer to get things sorted here than anyone would like. Except for, i guess, my ex-neighbour.
...not that he doesnt have a couple of lathes of his own anyhow, but i think mine gets used.
Why do you need 36 tool holders....
