Attached, the english manuals for the VDI and PSI respectively
Got two... a mts250s which is just OK, and one of their 80amp plasma cutters. Not particularly inspiring support if you have problems or questions. Their interest appears to vanish after the sale, and they could learn a lot from Tokentools in Oz and R-Tech who sell essentially the same hardware in the UK and who both have real customer service (and appear to try to develop a clientele). The other part of being in Vermont, is nothing has local service... the best it gets is a 2-3 week turnaround while it gets shipped to New Hampshire if you have a Lincoln or Miller, and that's if they stock the repair parts. Everlast has one contracted repair depot in the US, and IIRC it was in South Dakota last I checked. Anyone I have talked to who shipped their machine for service felt it was a crap shoot if it would actually be returned repaired, or even if it would survive the UPS/FedEx journey out and back.I see you are in Vt. Have you considered an everlast pulse mig, local support and all that.
Would be good to hear your thoughts on it especially if he lets you have a go.Cheers for the headsup - that looks like the HitBox one.... Phil Weeks is down in Bath, wifey lives 20 mins away so I could pop down there one weekend and take a look.
Yeah, always interested to try new stuff.... Although to be fair I've been so pleased with the little Paton vdi250 that I wouldn't be looking to get another machine at the moment. It is on trial with my good buddy David at the moment along with a new feeder I built for him and I think he's happy with it so far.Would be good to hear your thoughts on it especially if he lets you have a go.
I used to do a lot of stick welding but hardly do any now, suppose that could all change just as it has with the Aluminium, had loads of that the last year or so.Those look superb..... Good work.
I haven't done any aluminium mig since the last job way back. I've been using it for running MMA jobs with 7018
I bought mine from poland for £345, I couldn't be doing with messing with Import duty etc... But I might try and get my hands on a few of their other machines for testing...Digging around, I find the power source is availble direct from the factory for €278 (plus taxes and shipping, presumably)

I find this very interesting, as I have a TecArc F40 WFU doing nothing.
