Table saw and plunge saw will not give a deep enough cut, unless I cut top and bottom, I need 95mm depth of cut.
so cut to the desired amount flip it over and recut most circular saws cut 50mm depth so any circular saw will cut 100mm of depth of wood just by flipping the wood overTable saw and plunge saw will not give a deep enough cut, unless I cut top and bottom, I need 95mm depth of cut.
An old boy gave me some good advice when he was helping me renovate my first house:
I doesn't have to be right - it just has to look right.
...cutting this long wedge will not be easy, 44mm at one end and 15mm at the other, 94 deep.
It's a huge opening, more than 2m by 1m, doors this size are thousands of £. I'll be adding 3 windows and 3 panels to match the original. I'm in a conservation area, where new has to match oldLooks good, but if Id been going to all that trouble resizing the frame think Id have made it fit an off the shelf exterior door with glass etc….
Book a JCB, set fire to the house, demolish it, and then crowd fund the rebuild.
It's the modern way.
Thats if the locals havent half inched half of the bricks as souvenirsDon't do that, there'll be an outcry on social media, a lot of it by people who've never even set foot in your house. You'll have to rebuild it brick by brick complete with wonky door...
Quick coat of primer,
You not got a wider brush....
