Just sitting in the opening, not fixed in yet.
You've done such a nice job with the rest of it I'm glad to hear it! Was odd to see when everything else looks neat and tidy.

Id hang onto that, ready for when you need to make the replacment!Anyone want a 1 week old 1/2 inch router. £70 plus postage, cost £107. Came with 3 bits, unused, and the two bits I bought with life still left in them.

Sold it to a mate who is moving house and planning a fair amount of renovation, so good all round since I'll be able to borrow it if needed in the future.id keep it its made its money buy doing that job and a router is a tool that cant be easy replaced by another tool
Cheers for the link....our front door has those rubber ones all round. They worked really well but this year with the heat they seem to react and get stuck to the door paint making the door (very) difficult to open.I used this draught proofer which has been perfect on my back door.
i re pointed my house and then sandblasted it.2 coats of thompsons sealed it .been done 30 years now and no bricks or mortar shelling offi wouldnt advise sand blasting or grinding the stone work as you will loose its water proof coating of years gone by
once you loose that protective coating stone can leach in water rather well so if you do any sand blasting you will need a water proof coat like thompsons water seal to then seal it every 2 years
you mean you sand blasted it then pointed it up again before you coated it with thompsons water seali re pointed my house and then sandblasted it.2 coats of thompsons sealed it .been done 30 years now and no bricks or mortar shelling off
no i pointed it all up bagged it off then sandblasted the bricks using dried beach sand i got for free used the big comp using a 6mm jet and spot dabbed all the bricks without damaging the pointing left doing it for a month so the cement was well hardened . house looks like new even though its 150 years oldyou mean you sand blasted it then pointed it up again before you coated it with thompsons water seal
doing it the other way and you will take off all of your pointing that youve just done
