OMG I had to double take your photo, I thought it was a mate down here.
Some think everyone has a twin, maybe it’s correct

I've got plenty offcuts from the barrel staves I'm working with if you fancy some bits for handles/scales. Quite a lot of work in a folder, very impressive. This is number two. Locking knife this time. Certainly more to making one of these compared to a sheath knife. Looked at other folks plans online, saw how the lock worked. It’s a very simple action but getting it to fit and work smoothly took a bit of time and fettling. Made the blade first and worked round it’s size and shape.

Here is it mocked up, held together with a drill bit and two brass rods. These are getting replaced when the hardware arrives. The pivot pin is the one being used.

Still to decide what scales are going on. Cut some cherry ones for it but not sure might go for oak ones. None of the pins will show through the scales. The pins will be peened and holes will be drilled on the inside of the scales for them to into same for the pivot. Scales will be araldited on
Got the scales on yesterday. Don’t like it very much. To chunky, the frame is the issue. It’s to thick. Not to worry, it’s my first. I will learn and move on.
Maybe thinner scales like a swiss army would have worked better, but like you say its a learning curve.
