I had the hull survey done a few years ago so that should be fine.

Passed a boat safety inspection a few years ago so all that stuff is still in date etc.

I'm paying for the survey and having her lifted for that and I'll antifoul at the same time.

Can't really be many issues a survey will find now.

Normally survey costs are down to the buyer, including lift out etc.

102 quid out and 102 quid back in, plus 35 a week on the hard.

Mild steel Diesel tanks on boats are always the source of big problems, I wouldnt have one , stainless or plastic and with a proper drain off valve.

They are but to aid a quicker sale I've been advised to have one done. I can also fix any issues they pick up.

I wish it was only £204 for a lift on the thames

I think whoever told you that needs shafting, survey is always buyers cost, and is basically used to shift the price in their favour for any potential works, take that option away and they wont feel like they have got some money off and be pleased with the deal.

204 is actually dear, as the club has its own crane, which is 55 each way, but I don't like it as the straps put the hull sides under a lot of stress.

Guy down club has been after a boat, and every boat he has been to see, they would not even let him go out in it unless he put 10 percent down up front, I guess to stop joyriding dreamers.
So be very aware of dreamers after a free boat trip., ignore what car they arrive in and their dress sense, listen to their words and watch their body language.

He went to see a few boats with different brokers, so I guess they have all been bitten by the time wasters, and decided enough is enough.
He said some were refundable and others not, the not ones I am not sure they will sell many boats!

I'm working in Mayfair today and there's a "shop" selling luxury yacht's with huge models of what they offer.
I couldn't afford the model one

Shepperton Marina charge £75 a meter to Lift, P/wash, block, un-block, crane in.

My boat is 12 meters and weighs in at 13 ton so that's £900. I'm not at shepperton now but that's where she was last out of the water.

Hopefully where I am is cheaper but I bet its not anywhere near £200.

The broker sells the survey to the prospective buyer so I will get paid for it but it's there and done and saves multiple lifts etc.
