Ha! Grew up riding Mx bikes on that sand quarry and watching the bangers. They tarmaced the track eventually and when the development plan came about for the docks area it was compulsory purchased and shut down. So for a few weeks it became every boy racers private track

they dug 3ft wise ditches across the track to stop them, then it became our raceway on enduro bikes, woe betide you if you mistimed a hop and dropped a wheel into the ditch
