Not much crumple zone with those..We don't subject the transmission to the same punishment, we have a rolling lap to start and once in (race ) gear we don't change.
The only problem I've had is hitting the wall where I've had the selector shafts coming through the front of the box and on another occasion I smashed the gearbox off the bell housing.
I’ve seen this bad boy in the flesh, it is some pretty impressive engineering. I always assumed such cars were just thrown together, as if for demolition derby, but they are a hell of a lot more sophisticated than that.

be a shame to race it looks 2 nice to get carved upHad her run up to temperature and set the timing , the new cooling system seems to be doing a good job.
Yes I'm ready to race , I've smashed my hands and wrists to bits enough times to know to prevent it if possible.will you get an outing in it this year like the perspex disk on the steering wheel stop you breaking your thumbs when you prang up

A lad I know used to race off road about 25 years back and hit a rock, arm through the steering wheel and ended up having it amputatedYes I'm ready to race , I've smashed my hands and wrists to bits enough times to know to prevent it if possible.
