This PO Meter came my way yesterday.
It needed some attention. The stuck needle is clear.
A trick is some times test it on a high volt and that soemtimes frees the needle of. This case the glass cover was pushed in and that was jamming the needle. Well the first look indicated that.
Opening it up, the glass was on the needle, but also the coil and needle pivot was seized.
A bit of warm Singer Oil and a tooth pick soon had it free.
Live test showed it to be work on all volt ranges.
New leads, Ex MOD AVO leads.
The leather case was cleaned with warm water and washing powder. Yesterdays sun had it dried. Then wax was applied in a lot of thin layers. You could see the wax being absorbed into the leather.
The case is now soft and the leather handle is now flexible.
