A diamond disc, bought from the guy at the local monthly market. Finally wore out, cut a lot of breeze blocks and stone, so couldn't fault it for £8.oo

Looks at better than mine mine it literally cobbled together with whatever I had laying about. I'm a Suffolk bloke and far to tight to hire one for 15 mins work. This will do the job
Glued together with the mma function on my r tech 180 mig and a some cheap siftrode rods, I can run a bead in a straight line but can't go around corners

Fixed my sip ideal super 240 when it wouldn't operate on trigger. No wire feed, no gas, no click of solenoid.
Tracked it down to a small round bridge rectifier on the control pcb. Replaced with a bigger one I had lying around should hold it for another few years.

Put new felt on the shed roof after the ever present winds up here removed the old stuff in February. And hopefully pleased my lovely friends across the road who have had to look at the temporary blue tarpaulin since then .
And if the garage roof ever needs doing, I shall call one of those tradesmen chaps to do it. Hanging from stepladdders while banging nails in isn't my idea of fun

We serviced the L200, not a fix really. It was though the fuel filter had been put on at the last service by a gorilla on steroids who was also illiterate. It clearly states on the filter. Tighten by hand, do not use tools. I broke my chain wrench trying to remove it, son had to take it to work and get it in a vice and wrestle if off. Dreaded tackling the oil filter, it was easy. It was only hand tight, took it off with one hand!

Did some work on the Surf today. Fitted new brake pads on the front as they were a bit thin! Then did the drivers side inner and outer track rods as the MOT gave me advisories on them having play in them. Bugger all wrong with them when I got them off same as the nearside I did last month

I've owned this Starrett back-plunger 196 DTI for going on 40 years, maybe a bit more. I've never thought much of it and, until recently, I don't think that I'd ever ever used it.
The DTI itself has had a hard life, but then it's probably more than 60 years old. It may get a refurb later on and maybe even some new nickel plating when my plating sundries arrive.
The adaptor assembly was what I most hated; rusty and well worn. Well, the wear was just lack of adjustment, and the rust, well, that was rust.
I suppose it took me 25 minutes to sort. It's a much nicer piece of measuring equipment now. And the nickel plating is definitely on the cards.
The rusty looking thumb screw is actually a nicely blued piece, no point spoiling it. The arm moves smoothly in the now de-greased and adjusted pivots.
