Surely there was already a metal cross drilling jig available? My wooden handled post hole digger. One end just snapped a while back where it bolts though the shovel bit .
One quick bit of CAD and an accurate, 3D printed, cross-drilling jig later:
Overkill you say?
Having the handles at slightly different heights seems to work better as you can't bang your knuckles together now.

All the better for making post holes on sloping ground, thenMy wooden handled post hole digger. One end just snapped a while back where it bolts though the shovel bit .

Not fixed, as it is badly worn and thus is dangerous.
New parts are available, but with a very long lead time and a very big bill.
But it was fun meeting up with a friend, playing with his new version of this.

Getting it apart to see what was worn was interesting.

The internals have worn, due to bent parts, when in use it can explode into a fire ball.

Even through this looks wrong, it is correct. But this is a worn part, gas will and did blow by the upper jet.
The lower handle allows you to swivel the lead bowl as the molten lead is applied.

It is for melting and spraying lead for lead filler on old car bodies. What is it, a lead loading gun?
was it spendy ? genuine ?I'm hoping we've fixed the boys Aygo EML problems. Fitted a new catalytic converter and it seems better...
one fubar half inch extention now though , glad I am not the only one to do this
It was fubar before it became a smacker bar. The "plug" end snapped off a few years ago being abused on an impact. It's made a pretty damn good punch though.one fubar half inch extention now though , glad I am not the only one to do this
