On a caravan of love? How are the house martins going to get in?
I was going to say, soffit and fascia !!Draughts, I've 16.5m of draughts to block, on the North side of the house, under the roof, when the wind blows that way, the draughts penetrate the entire house.

Suspect cement and rocks are cheaper though.

Bit of a faff, and rubber degrades over a long time, so shrinkwrap has taken over to a degree. We used them for putting rubber sleeves over the end of cables back in my BT apprenticeship days. Probably use shrink wrap today.
Did you weld that? Methinks you might see it again in a few years time?Dough mixer. Martensitic stainless steel

Yep welded the shaft back together. Probably. It’s only two years old, it ate its bearings and snapped the shaft. Not very well madeDid you weld that? Methinks you might see it again in a few years time?

I've left ventilation. Some clown did that to my house . . . cue dripping wet loft, soaking wet timbers . . . now well ventilated again and everything is nicely dry.
Mat, just a thought... Do you have any specific insulation and heating plans for this building? I know that Brittany has a relatively mild winter climate, but if you ever have any extended periods of sub-freezing weather, you may want to consider an insulation and ventilation design for the roof that can prevent ice dam formation on the roof and subsequent water backup and leakage. How long are the eave overhangs? What kind of roofing is, or will be, used? I suspect that your winters are mild enough that ice dams might not be an issue, but they certainly are here, with our colder winters.Draughts, I've 16.5m of draughts to block, on the North side of the house, under the roof, when the wind blows that way, the draughts penetrate the entire house.
Yep, 40 cms of insulation, then insulation.Mat, just a thought... Do you have any specific insulation and heating plans for this building? Removing roof ventilation can have catastrophic effects...
