I thought the same, until I read all of the post.Am I missing something here, or is your maths just *****?
I de-rusted and drilled out the seized in bolts through the hubs of my Mazda rear axle project.
Not exactly ‘fixed’ but part way to possibly being utilised on my trike.....
Maybe..... but more likely to sit in the corner of the shed for a while.
Sounds interesting. I’m still not sure which direction I’m going in, suddenly have lots of projects on the go. I’ve toyed with shortening the drive shafts, simple sleeve and weld.I'm using the same for the rear end of my new trials car. By pure fluke, found some driveshafts that fit that are 30mm shorter to work with my fabricated wishbones, so the rear track is more similar to original live axle. I just don't know what they are from!
Lots of inspiration out there on Haynes Roadster sites, even Westfield sites - the easiest, quickest, way would be to buy their wishbones.
I'm keeping the Mazda diff mounts, just using solid bobbins and solid front mount - there's a few other cars being built with that bit top beam cut down - not too sure how long they will last.
Cheers. Grade two so save as much as you can and like for like.excellent, glad you managed to save the original upper frame and roller for the well
nice work
Laser level? I use plasterboard props for mineI found a tripod in the skip at work with a broken leg. It just needed a bit of the tabs bending to repair it

I use a bike handlebar camera mount.I have a slightly crappy Stanley one but I think I'll need a 6>8mm adapter to fit it.
What kind of portable work bench is that mate? I am looking for something to replace the two manky workmates the scrappy's nicked from behind my workshop.
Nice workJust pointing left. Been lucky with the weather. Mild and dry
