There’s a an inductive sensor in the neck that operates a valve. You can’t put fuel in or out without a metallic nozzle

a while ago I was gifted a hospital trolley

which I chopped up to make a trolley for the tig

made an angle frame for a bottle

well today I've stitched / tacked / welded most of together of a fashion I've well warped the top and bottom shelf ! ( impatient )

It's in need of a bit bracing as it's a bit flexi at present ! and lets say theres going to be some grinding to do .

on the plus side I did get a bit of time with the new panoramaxx of @hotponyshoes and the more I use it the more I like it .

Dishing stump, again.


There was another thread on here today discussing routers. I remembered I had one in the garage so dragged it out to tidy up my shoddy woodwork. It is rarely used. My router bit selection is pretty limited (Aldi special buys!) and I didn't have anything that would tidy the bottom of the dish, but the circumference cleaned up pretty nicely.

It's fairly circular for cutting by hand to a line, and the diameter has gone up to about 4 and three quarter inches. It doesn't sound a lot, but the area increase is very noticeable.

I thought I'd a have a go with this planishing hammer to smooth out all the bumps from yesterday. I didn't persevere very long. The hammer is very noisy. It is currently powered by a 24litre direct drive compressor which kicks in after about 10 seconds of use. Double the annoyance.

There's a bit of a knack to working the metal which I haven't picked up yet. I got the sheet looking fairly smooth and nice and then promptly hammered the crown flat. I think that the problem was that I didn't apply enough downward pressure with my hands to keep the metal stretched and the crown in shape. I made a little effort trying to rescue it but I think I've stretched the metal a bit too much so I packed in. Notice all the hammer marks around the edges too. Deffo something wrong there. It's a little less lumpy than yesterday. Probably wouldn't take long to get a reasonable finish.

Today I've done something really important to me.
Always been terrified by blood samples ,so I've had to do them for my job, something I've never done even for my own health.
Today I won one of my biggest fears

Made my power tools fit perfectly in one box with the sockets, bought this foam for like £15 I guess and cut it all out. This is for my lorry. Handy tools to have with me for what I do.

I own and use ear defenders. I'm more concerned about what the neighbours think. Ideally, I want to get the missus to run the air hammer so I can stand outside and hear how loud it actually sounds outside the workshop. I don't think she'll be impressed though.

Take a piece of hot tungsten that just formed a bit of collyflower on the tip and it's done in a fraction of a sec. You hardly feel it. 5 minutes ago. The bacon smell made me hungry, time to call it a day.

A start on finding a job. Dropped an application form and a couple of CV's to local companies, then on the Indeed website and knocked a couple applications on there. Then carried on lining my van out with insulation. Had to stop when my knee gave out.

Keywords are vital on job websites,look at the jobs you want and use the keywords that they repeat in your CV.

Keywords are vital on job websites,look at the jobs you want and use the keywords that they repeat in your CV.

Also the CV libary type places where the vast majority of search atleasts to narrow down numbers are done by computers looking for keywords like you.
