Can you not just use a DBIT tool for the engraving

If I had one I could but I can't find them. Probably dumped them as they had been in the drawer for 20 years and never used
I with get another nine9 engraver as I have 3 or 4 new inserts.

Mind you I am pretty happy with the way it turned out even with the chamfer mill, to give an idea of the size the lower case letters are 2.3mm high.

Afraid not, take too long to do.
If I was doing a load of them I could cut the time down by making jigs but even then it would be about 2hrs per peg.
Design time was way more and each bike would need their own design so definitely not something I would be doing.

Started last weekend.
3 safety valves, one is 6mm, one is 1/4"UNC and the last is 1/4" whit.
Had to wait untill today when I got home to fit the seals.

My ‘order’ was firmly tongue in cheek Hood! KTM pegs are obtainable, though old Ossa ones less so, though they are only a bit of 20mm flat strip bent in a U shape

Aye I kind of thought that but just wanted to make sure
You can get loads of pegs for the Africa Twin, Hondas own Rally Pegs are actually quite nice and not that expensive, about £80-£90 I think but they are a bit bigger than I wanted and also if I make my own then I am the only one that has them

No.
Stoped by a loony on the way to Turo. Turned up the brass. Today when I got home and had the seals in a jiffy bag.
I fitted the springs, crimped the ends and washed them in meths.

2 will fit engines I have. One is a possible rebuild in the near future.

Now I'm stuck with them, useless ornaments. Note to self: measure and ask questions before buying.

God was an optimist, his 'great creation' was doomed from the start. Maybe if He/She hadn't taken a day off [or not spilled his coffee on the blueprints] it would have been perfect.

Another day spent doing metal fabrication at work.
Almost welded my first hydraulic cylinder .
But I didn't because once asked to do it I've answered that I still not feel confident to take those liabilities because I'm still learning and knowing the welder and I do prefer to wait later down the road,so it's better that someone more experience than me weld it instead.
Anyway received firsts gratifications for my welds from the bosses
Expecially on thinner stuff .

A bit of turning in the S&B and hey presto no more air pockets forming in the rad
