Aye, probably with @henry Kadzielski mentioning raising the water.Ahh sorry I misread - thought it looked rough for water.
Not bad for plasma though

Particularly for @Mick Annick ,one of 4.
Could you please do a weld on a couple of bits of scrap ally and deliberately dab the electrode then do a close up just to make mere mortals like me feel better. Beautiful work. " dropped off" if my efforts were that good they would be in a glass case.
Sometimes it's difficult to hand parts over I've took the time handled the parts with surgical gloves or tig gloves then they come with dirty oily hands and mess them upCould you please do a weld on a couple of bits of scrap ally and deliberately dab the electrode then do a close up just to make mere mortals like me feel better. Awesome! I have said it before after seeing pics of your work, but I would love to be capable of this quality of welding. Well done!
Thankyou for that @Hood. It does seem that with nitrogen I do get a slightly better finish. Just not quite as rough as what you have. It welds quite well all that I do is run a flap disk on the bottom edge to remove the tiny dross and we are good to go with the hot glue gun. Well steel I can't complain at all, speed and finish is all good. Was actually supprised at the finish I got when cutting 20mm and 25mm plate, just slightly rounded at the bottom edge of the corners, pretty well what you are getting, couldn't actually see the any rippling of the cut edge at all.And for completeness here is the finish on 12mm 5083

And as I have also just cut some 5mm steel I took a pic.
