Made a few more holes, buffed some welds down, and removed some powdercoat.
I had planned on getting it painted tonight, but I still need to drill a few more holes in the base.

Made a few rests forthe benches today. Threatened to do it a while back but I needed something "suitable" which turned out to be the bottom leg for adustable scaffoldi ng. I know, but these guys could break a cannonball!

Then, continuing my mission of trying to actually finish some jobs I determined to finish cutting the large bit of rail track into two smaller bits. This is where it went a bit south. My pal realised something was up when all the sparks were going skywards, he came over explaining the grinder should be going the other way, go on then, have a go:




As yiu can see, he had to press the trigger with his thumb, it really could do with being turned 180 degrees to have the trigger in the proper orientation. If anyone has any suggestions I would welcome them. Meanwhile, finished the job so result anyway.

@northwest - can't you just move the guard round 90 degrees?

Does the gearbox have 4 screws you can remove them rotate it

Aye looks like that is what has happened, someone has had the gearbox off and put it back 90 degrees out .

Had some left over parts after i repaired the door on the teardrop. I have storage under the bed and find the rear compartment a pain to get too. So a hatch would be ideal and hopefully a slide out 'drawer' that can be used as a table can be added. Progress so far, basic hand tolls and bought nothing for it yet

The TV was boring so about 4.30 I decided I'd sort out the wood and Carey it round to rhe garden, had that done for 5 30 or so and decided I'd lay the bearers out, then thought may as well screw them down, then thought well I could lay the bottom layer of wood to see how well it slotted together and well things kind of escalated.

I'm not saying my Mrs isn't very observant, but I reckon I could drill enough holes to make this place look like a Swiss cheese and it would still be months before she noticed.

In fact I'm pretty sure it would take her a couple of weeks to notice if I didn't come back in from the shed. That's true love for you (or something).

Better that than one who is always pointing and picking.

Does it take much material off? would it be durable outside in the weather or would it fade quickly?

It is quite deep on the dark parts, not sure about the white, would have to check
