Not just today but yesterday, started on this boat. Washed it ready for painting, but got windy so left it for today. Masked up this morning, painted the prima over the bare bits and transfered to the antifoul.

Gave it about half an hour then antifoul paint, Jotun Seaforce active in black. Once you go black you never go back!

I didn't try uranium yet , but I've understood roaches are pretty tough...
I've put 5 pellets in it and it was still alive , slowed for sure as It was missing 3 legs and half abdomen.
I'm going to try the tape trap, I was reading about sugar and sodium carbonate as safe poisoning agent against insects.
But I'm afraid about my little Prague mouse (most useless hunting dog ever but it's so cute and you can't really love it ) getting poisoned because he eats everything that looks food .
Also soap is a good deterrent but yet again my dog and I'm afraid to open a Pandora's box

Strangely to day on NHK channel TV in the UK there was an article about Japanese inventions .
One that kicked of 50 years ago is a simple disposable carboard device that has a slope going up ( roaches fee secure using their feelers then they drop off onto a glued up area . The boxes aren't much bigger than 150 mm long by 40 high x 40 wide .. they look like cartoon cardboard houses and can get out in all manner of dog /pet proof places . They appear to be fantastically effective

Yesterday, I found that Gorilla Glue is particularly effective at sticking air filter foam into peculiar shapes.
Goes right into the interstices of the material, and locks on like a determined crocodile....

Trimfix spray adhesive for fitting 4-way stretch wall carpet is good for sticking foam together. It's not instant grab either, so if you're quick you can peel off and gave a 2nd go at sticking it in the right place.

Absolutely so. After the overnight cure, the join is as solid as solid gets.
Reckon that the Gorilla Glue is going to be fairly fuel proof for repeated washing out in petrol and re - oiling, and that the foam sleeve will make for a reasonably effective pre-filter for the paper element device currently fitted to the Bantam...

Replaced the u/s clock & temp display in my Renault Master mk2 camper conversion with this power socket & USB combo unit.
I kept the surround and opened it out to accept the plakky mounting plate, so it'd clip into place & look like it's meant to be there.

Also fitted a flexible curtain track item to carry the cab divider/blackout curtains (which OH is hemming to fit the drop). The rail needs to not only swerve between the drivers seat & loo/bulkhead wall for stowage and maximum coverage, but there's also a small step transitioning where it snakes behind the drivers seat - but it's coped no problem.

Almost finished the 1960's angle grinder restoration.
Had to use Loctite to seat a bearing which has loose fit on the spindle shaft (-0.02mm).
Can't wait to restore my lathe but I have to wait till I don't have a proper place to put it.
Otherwise I could have machined a sleeve and shrink fit on it and machined true to size for using a bigger ID bearing.
Building up with welding and machine it to original diameter would be risky due to warping and the shaft might snap due to brittleness caused by the weld infect zone tempering while cooling down.
Anyway tomorrow I'll finish the restoration and surely upload the video on my channel.

We are too far south for them, however a seal with GPS malfunction, that's entirely possible. Equally unpleasant to deal with

You forgot about the hammerheads and the tigers, they also unpleasant to deal with. Blue bottles another favorite, but that's in summer, again too early.
