Back in September I made a near gallon of blackberry vodka and a gallon of "president plum brandy" - mainly plums and vodka with added brandy.
I strained the blackberry vodka through muslin into a clean jar then tried to filter it through the old Vinbrite type syphon/filter.
This was left of the berries after straining through the muslin:
It then clogged the filter pads, even the coarse one, so quick it was unreal. Only filled 4 250ml bottles before I had one filter pad left. Some old Avery sheets and a bit of AI for the labels.
Tried the plum one through a coarse pad and that has so much body it didn't even start!
Mulling pouring it over charcoal and letting it seep through as a DIY method.
An afterthought...mulling whisking up and egg white in a pint of the vodka and adding back to the demijohn as finings. Last used that method for my mead a couple of years back.
