I don't any more, I gave up the sea about 25 years ago and now I repair and fit out the boats as well as other welding, milling and turning work.Hood, what do you fish for?
Not a fan myself. Feel far too flimsy and no good for load bearing.
No good 6 years down the line when you rip the boards off either.
I made a start to designing the new control panel for the lathe.
Good thing is I have most of the parts already drawn up, things such as buttons and MPG etc do not even need altered but other things like the housing, keyboard panel etc need altered for the new shape/sizes but that is still time saving compared to redrawing from scratch.

Theres a lot of clever engineers in Scotland, Its a genetic thing. I reckon the fear of wasting money makes them want to do it right first time and make it to last forever
