Because my shed heater will be exhausting through the wooden side [unlike some who go through blockwork], and I understand the pipe gets quite hot, I turned a heatsink from a bit of ali round bar.
It was strange turning the bar, it kept 'grabbing' the tool and didn't seem to matter which spindle speed or feed rate I tried - I was using WD-40 as a lube and a selection of cutters. Never had this problem before.
Progress on setting this up is a bit slow, be better if I had a heater and didn't have to keep coming back inside to give my hands & feet a chance to restore feeling.......
